Karl Weenig, MD

Karl Weenig, MD obtained a Bachelor of Science in zoology at Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. In addition to his education, Dr. Weenig completed a family medicine residency at the Utah Valley Family Medicine Clinic and a fellowship at the University of Alabama. He also served as a chair for the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for the Utah High School Athletic Association. He is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and specializes in sports medicine and family medicine.

Dr. Weenig decided to pursue a career in medicine while growing up under good physician mentors. He has always wanted to help people with serious medical problems heal and enjoy life. In addition to his mentorship, he had an interest in human biology and loved to learn how the human body works. Dr. Weenig strives to be an empathetic and active listener so that he can more effectively help each patient. He loves to help people get back to full function while giving them cost-effective solutions to their health problems.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Weenig enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering with high school athletic programs, working with young athletes, and serving in scouting, church, and humanitarian efforts.
